Acknowledgement of Higher Standard & Responsibility:

Organizers/ Teachers/ Presenters

• I acknowledge that being an organizer, teacher and or presenter, I am in a position of power within this given space and therefore will be held to a higher set of standards and must be responsible within this position of power.   

• I acknowledge that as an organizer, teacher and or presenter is a privilege that puts me in a position of elevated scrutiny. My actions, words, behaviors, and presence must conform to and align with Temple’s stated Community Agreements, Consent Policies, Code of Conduct, Etiquette, and Ethics.

• I acknowledge the real and perceived dynamics that come with being platformed, or pedestalled, is due in part to a combination of elements including my experience level, social media standing, perceptions of “popularity”, …and are not necessarily intentional but do exist and need to be recognized.  

• By signing this, I acknowledge the statements listed above and confirm that I will work to recognize power dynamics that exist between organizers and their community, teachers/ presenters with their audiences and will act ethically within these dynamics.
