Temple Policy
Those of us who organize and operate Temple New York are committed to being as clear and upfront as possible with our community members in articulating our policies and procedures. In order to do better in that objective, we have written out a group of detailed documents that have been peer reviewed and will remain amendable as time and experience grants us further insights. If you have a comment/ question/ suggestion please email it to temple.nyc.bushwick@gmail.com
Temple New York has certain limitations as an organization. Please read our Organizational Boundaries and Limitations documents to understand what we do and do not offer.
We require that all attendees be familiar with and recognize the Temple Consent Policy while they are active within the space.
We now require that all attendees of any of our workshops and events read and sign our Community Agreements.
While participating in any workshops and events at Temple New York, we ask that you behave in accordance with our Code of Conduct as well as our in house rules on Etiquette.
Interpersonal dynamics are complex and require a thoughtful approach. In order to understand our organizational vetting protocol and guidance on what we expect of our community members, please read our Vetting Process and Procedure document. We also require that all presenters and organizers sign an Acknowledgement of Higher Standards as part of their vetting process.
When something does go wrong and a situation needs to be acknowledged and worked through we have established a new and far more robust Incident Reporting/ Repair Protocol. These documents offer a path through ruptures and details how we can participate in that process.
